The opinions expressed in this article are the writer’s own and do not reflect the views of Her Campus.
This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UPRM chapter.

You often hear about the Big Three– sun, moon, and rising- when it comes to astrology, but do you know which planet influences your romance, beauty, and fashion? Named after the Roman goddess of love and beauty, Venus is the planet that nurtures attraction and relationships. So by dressing for our Venus sign, we are resonating with the planet’s energy, which in return makes us more confident, desirable, and comfortable in our appearance.

To find out your Venus sign, you can look up free birth charts from sites like astro.cafeastrology.com or co-star astrology. Keep in mind that you’ll need to know your time of birth, date, and location.

Aquarius Venus

Known for being eccentric and innovative, this Venus sign loves to branch out in their style and experiment with fashion, so don’t be afraid to incorporate mismatched patterns and colors into your wardrobe. They tend to be very playful and relaxed, not caring if their style is deemed as “weird.” This is why they often dabble in the lines between femininity and masculinity. A prime example of an Aquarius Venus is Timothée Chalamet.

Pisces Venus

This Venus sign thrives in femininity and soft looks. Their style is often seen as ethereal and romantic, which is no surprise considering that Pisces is one of the most sensitive and empathetic signs. If you’re a Pisces Venus, flowy silhouettes, laces, and florals look best on you. I would recommend checking out cottagecore fashion for more inspiration.  A Pisces Venus thrives in pastels, especially the blues and beiges. Lily Collins and Karol G are some Pisces Venus you might know.

Aries Venus

Aries Venus are famous for being trendsetters; they’re always looking for attention-grabbing styles. They tend to flourish in sensual and revealing outfits, but they also look beautiful in masculine outfits. Although their outfits make a statement, they’re never too over the top. The best colors for this sign are black and red. Some famous Aries Venus icons are Rihanna and Marilyn Monroe.

Taurus Venus

Taurus is ruled by Venus, so they value a lot being put together. The best way I could describe a Taurus Venus is luxurious and feminine; think old money. Similar to Pisces, flowy silhouettes and florals work great with this sign. I would also recommend fabrics like satin, silk, and velvet. Considering Taurus is an earth sign, it excels in neutral and earthy tones. For more style inspo, you can look at celebrities like Lana Del Rey and Johnny Depp.

Gemini Venus

Known for being versatile, they can switch up from wearing an extremely casual outfit to looking ready to strut the runway. Meaning they can also mold and shift into whatever style they want for the day and still look just as great. Geminis have a playful and youthful style, which is why I would recommend experimenting with pops of bright colors like yellows, oranges, and pinks. Your fashion icon is Naomi Campbell.

Cancer Venus

This sign has a very traditional style, so they gravitate towards more classic and modest looks. Making their style look more simple compared to other signs. Vintage-inspired pieces and the color silver are your best friends if you’re a Cancer Venus. You’ll also love layers in fashion. Cancer rules over the chest, so having little cutouts in that area looks fabulous on them. Some popular Cancer Venus are Zendaya and Sabrina Carpenter.

Leo Venus

This sign is more daring when it comes to their fashion, and you can see this with all the slits and necklines in their wardrobe. Hair is the main focus for a Leo Venus, usually wearing it big and dramatic. It’s considered the most important accessory. Leo Venus is ruled by the sun, which is why they thrive in oranges, yellows, and golds. To this sign, I’d recommend experimenting with bold colors and not being afraid to add some animal print to your outfits. For more inspiration, check out Pamela Anderson and Salma Hayek.

Virgo Venus

As an earth sign, Virgo Venuses are pretty similar to a Taurus Venus in terms of always looking put together and gravitating towards neutral and earthy tones. Virgo is ruled by Mercury, which is why you’ll see them focusing on the smaller details of their outfits, like shoes and jewelry. Virgos are known for being more minimalistic and having kind of a clean girl aesthetic. Your style icons are Kylie Jenner and Kim Kardashian.

Libra Venus

The beautiful thing about them is that even when wearing simple outfits, they still manage to look extremely put-together with all the amount of details that they add to their outfits. This is a sign that loves to express themselves through fashion. I would consider their style softer and chic, very timeless. They tend to have a preppy influence, exploring with plaids and checkered prints. Beyonce and Haley Bieber are perfect examples of a Libra Venus.

Scorpio Venus

Described as feminine, sultry, and intense; they carry a dramatic effect when it comes to their outfits. They embody a lot of darker colors like black and love fabrics like leather and satin. They have a sort of alternative style, always adding an edginess to their outfits. Monochromatic looks are your best friends, especially all-black looks. The iconic motomami Rosalia is the definition of a Scorpio Venus.

Sagittarius Venus

Seen as adventurous, unpredictable, and effortless– they have a sort of eclectic vibe when it comes to their fashion. They like to wear bright colors, but they also tend to enjoy navies and neutrals. With their style being  unpredictable, they emulate a lot of different aesthetics like Bohemian, Y2K, and many others. Their color palettes are filled with oranges, reds, and greens. Some famous Sagittarius Venuses are Kendall Jenner and David Bowie.

Capricorn Venus

Their style is clean and structured, with random pops of colors. Picture dark academia when you think of a Capricorn Venus. Muted grays, blacks, and beige tones look fabulous on them. Additionally, vests, blazers, and button-up shirts are a must for this sign. Their style is very similar to the other earth signs, which also share this similar timeless aspect to their clothing. These signs love having high-quality items added to their outfits because they value quality of quantity. An example of a Capricorn Venus is Scarlett Johansson.

At the end of the day, remember that fashion is supposed to be fun, so you’re not forced to dress in these certain styles if you don’t like them. It’s always worth trying it out and experimenting though. Just take what truly resonates with you and use that as inspiration. Who knows?
