5 Signs You’re Not Ready to Go Back to School

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UPRM chapter.

Going back to school can be quite stressful! Even though you really want to see your friends and go back to “los jangueos” on Thursday nights, you may not be ready to give up your  summer freedom and happiness just yet. Returning might feel like it’s just too soon, especially if you took classes in the summer. Here are the signs that indicate you’re not ready to go back to school!

1. You’re dreading having to get up early.

Got a class at 7:30 AM because you had no other choice? Summer messed up your sleeping schedule and you still can’t fix it?  This ⇧⇧⇧ might be you this semester.

2. You’re not looking forward to seeing certain people.

We all have that special person we can’t stand, but they are from our same department and seem to be in more than a few of our classes. Or maybe you simply haven’t fully recovered from your last group project.

3. Graduation is getting closer and closer, and you still don’t know what to do (/what you’re doing).

If we could only turn back time…

4. The prospect of having to give up your precious “siesta” time is too painful for words.

When you used to have this perfect, free time in the afternoon, and now you have a class you have to attend. But remember, naps are important and vital to a student’s success!

5. Taking class? How does that work again?

They are a lot of work and tests and you are just not up for it yet.
