Prep: 10 minutes

Cook: 5 minutes

Total: 15 minutes

Serving: 1 serving

Ingredients that will turn your regular morning coffee into the perfect must-have on the pumpkin season:

  • 1 cup of milk
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin butter (I chose Trader Joe’s)
  • 1 tablespoon sugar, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger (you can choose less)
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup brewed espresso or strongly brewed coffee
  • 2 tablespoons sweetened whipped cream (I made my own)

Steps of how to make a Pumpkin Spice Latte:

  1. Gather the ingredients and mix the pumpkin butter, sugar, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg, cloves, vanilla, and coffee into a small pot.

2. Whisk occasionally until the pumpkin puree has been incorporated, and the sugar and spices are dissolved on a medium-low flame.

3. Add the milk to a second pot and heat it up to 120 degrees Fahrenheit or to a microwave-safe jar, and heat it up just enough to warm it.

4. Whisk the milk vigorously until it foams or froths. To do this, I used a milk french press. Then, press and move the plunger up and down, holding down the lid until you achieve a thick consistency. Alternatively, if you have a milk frother wand, use this to create the foam as desired.

5. Pour the hot coffee mixture into a mug. Then, pour in the frothy milk.
