It’s February 2nd, so not only can we say that the first month of the new year has come and gone, but we’re closer to the semester being over! Now, on the way to that finale, we do have Valentine’s Day coming up around the corner, and here in the Her Campus UPR chapter we have committed to bringing you fourteen days of Cute Campus Couples. Today you get cute and laid-back number two!

When interviewing our second couple, we realized that “opposites attract” is more than just a phrase and it was adorable!

Cute Campus Couple

Felisa A. Cebollero & Isardo Braverman

How’d you two meet?

IB: I sprayed her with silly string.

FC: He met me at the uni. I’m a fine arts major; he’s a biology major. He sprayed me with silly string on Zooloween and later messaged me on Facebook—super random—and asked me if I wanted to go get chicken wings. Long story short, we didn’t get chicken wings. We went to El Hamberguito, and now we go there for special occasions.

How long have you been together?

IB: 3 years!

FC: 3 years. Almost a whole bachelor’s degree.

What was the first thing you noticed about each other?

IB: Her short hair. She looked cute.

FC:  His long hair, to be honest.

What makes your relationship work?

IB: Food!

FC: We complement each other because most of the times he’s super mathematical and analytical, and I’m more relax and go by intuition. That way we don’t go crazy.

One word to describe your partner.

IB: Cat.

FC: Duro.

Any plans or traditions for Valentine’s Day?

FC: Well, he owes me $20 in food!

IB: Probably go to El Hamberguito in El Viejo San Juan and order a blue cheese burger with sweet potato fries and una coronita.

if we’re being honest here, that is just about the cutest meet-cute we’ve heard of in a while. Random Facebook message to get chicken wings? Count me in!

Sounds like an awesome (and delicious) Valentine’s date, and who can’t agree that food is a necessity in relationships? Stay tuned for our other twelve couples! What will you be doing on Valentine’s day? Share it with us on Twitter.

Born and raised in Puerto Rico, Josie is a senior in the UPR-Río Piedras campus, majoring in English Literature. When she's not on campus, you can find her browsing a bookstore (as if her TBR pile isn't big enough already!). Books and writing are what drives this girl--apart from fighting to destigmatize mental illnesses and raising awareness about the importance of consent. Josie enjoys traveling, bingeing on spicy food and a lot of sweets, blasting Bieber, and adding shows or movies to her Netflix queue that she'll never get to. Josie is a junior editor for the Rio Piedras chapter in Puerto Rico. If you want to see what else Josie is up to, you can catch her on her bookstagram.
Antoinette Luna is a Performance Studies and Comparative Literature major at the UPR. Her passions include writing, reading, and anything crafty. She loves to sew, write, and make things from scratch. DIY is the name of her game. Around campus, she is known as a bubbly young woman who goes by just Luna. Her future goals include traveling, traveling, and more traveling. Outspoken transfeminist, and wannabe activist, she's out to set fires.
