As previously mentioned in my last article, Christmas movies are one of the best parts of Christmas. Here are my top choices to get you in the holiday mood!
Elf
Elf is by far the best Christmas movie of all time. (in my opinion, of course!) It’s so good that I continue to watch it year round. It’s a comedy, love-story, and action movie all in one. Highly recommend if you haven’t seen it.
Christmas Story
Christmas Story is a classic that I grew up watching with my parents. It’s a story of a modern family (at the time) and the storyline is based on what it was like for Ralphie during the holiday season. He thinks he mature enough for Red Rider Carbine Action 200-shot Range Model air rifle, but everyone around him doesn’t think he is.
The Grinch (live action with Jim Carrey)
The Grinch is probably one of the most known Christmas movies of all time. It was a book by Dr. Suess and was blown into a holiday classic. My personal favorite of the three interpretations of Suess’ book is the live action film ft. Jim Carrey.
Home Alone
Home Alone is basically what every kid wants to experience once in their life. Being home alone with no adults or siblings to boss you around. And defeating some criminals trying to rob your house is just an exciting bonus.
Christmas with the Kranks
Christmas with the Kranks is a tale of a mom and a dad whos nest is finally empty during the holidays. They plan an extravagent vacation and announce to everyone that they won’t be celebrating Christmas this year. When news comes that their daughter is making a special trip back to the states, they cancel their trip and get the whole community to chip in and bring back Christmas
The Polar Express
Another classic that I’m sure every child has seen at least once. Kids get on a train to the North Pole, they get to meet Santa and elves. Go back home and believe in Santa for the rest of their lives. A movie that never gets old with it’s humor, action, and Christmas spirit.
Christmas Vacation
A family of four is having a normal holiday until every one of their relatives shows up for Christmas. It is an exciting movie of how crazy Christmas can get around with your family being around 24/7.
Deck the Halls
Deck the Halls is a movie I’m sure not everyone has heard of, but it’s amazing nonetheless. A competition arises between two next door neighbors. Who is the most festive? Who has the most holiday spirit? Only one way to find out who can have their Christmas lights seen from space.
The Santa Clause
The Santa Clause is the first of three movies and starts off with actor Tim Allen, Scott Calvin, becoming Santa Claus after an accident caused the death of the real Santa. The rest of the movie is about him denying he’s the new Santa, finally accepting it and then becoming a true Santa.
Home Alone 2
Basically like Home Alone but Kevin gets on the wrong plane. So while his family is headed to Florida, he’s on his way to New York City and he racks up his families credit card. Madness ensues.
