After stressful midterms, hours of studying, and piles of homework, spring break couldn’t have arrived at a better time. Although the week or, for the lucky ones, two weeks go by so quickly, here are some ways to make the short time meaningful!

Hang Out with Friends

Whether you go home for the break or stay on campus, this week gives you so much time to hang out with old friends and catch up. You can also go out and make new friends. There are countless opportunities to make new memories with the friends you have or the friends you’ll make.

Visit Family

Same as friends, you have now free time to relax and catch up with immediate, close and distant relatives. Whether you call, text, FaceTime, Skype or see them in person, it is a great time to update them on your life and get updated on theirs as well.

Volunteer

With the time given, giving time back is important. Helping the community and spending time to those less fortunate will not only create good memories for you, but for the person or people helped as well.

Travel

This one is a given. If you have time and money, go on a road trip and explore around! It’s time to take cute pictures and just get away from it all. Don’t be afraid to experience new places and try new things while traveling.
