This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UNT chapter.

She hates being alone

But her lonesome is what keeps them safe

The people that she loves and those that love thee

Her lonesome hides her indiscretions

The ones that only leaves her mouth has muffled screams, confessed only in her pillow case

It hides the guilt that consumes her every thought

It hides her wicked from those who boast of her as their angel

She has built her walls with the upmost care

With every brick that she lays lies every sin that she’s committed

Brick by brick

Lie by lie

Sin by sin

She can’t let them see

They don’t need to know

It is not what she has chosen

Yet that is the destiny for the girl who lives her life running from what she cannot see

Me.
