Once the pandemic hit, it was hard to see anything past living in a bizarre and uncertain world staying cooped up in our houses with nothing to do except watch Netflix. Now, gradually it seems as though everyone is adjusting to Zoom and having technical difficulties a time or two a day. But, many are adjusting and going about their daily lives as normal as they can. What does that mean for the people who are trying to build their careers or move out? Or those trying to just steadily stay afloat and tackle a small goal each day. What it means is that you are not giving up.

Being a college student, it is hard to fathom that I somehow still have been taking classes and working toward a future for myself, as well as my peers. Through the past year it seems as though no one has missed a step when it comes to building themselves up and creating new goals to tackle day in and day out.

Living through this pandemic has brought out the best in people and most certainly the worst but it is easy to get carried away in our day to day lives without acknowledging how far we have come. It is extremely important to take a step back and pat yourself on the back for what you have accomplished in trying to adjust to the technologically heavy world today.

We have all learned how hard it is to keep pushing in the hardest of times, but for everyone that has accomplished even just getting through the last year, reward yourself it has been a hard year, and mentally and emotionally and physically there have been so many changes for everyone, remember you are not alone in anything you do.
