The whirlwind romance of professional basketball player Lamar Odom and our beloved Kardashian sister, Khloe may officially be over. The couple married in 2009, after just weeks of knowing each other and appeared to be madly in love. From tattoos of initials to risqué love scenes on the hit reality show Keeping Up With the Kardashians, their love was infectious. The pair stuck together through trying times including Lamar’s move to Dallas, Khloe’s body image criticisms and their difficulty conceiving a child.
But now, tabloids are abuzz with different issues like scandalous drug abuse and cheating rumors. It seems Khloe’s fairytale is no more. Lamar has been accused of following in the infamous footsteps of his father, using drugs and even being charged with a DUI recently in LA. Insiders have revealed that the couple is now living separately, Khloe spending time at her mother’s house in Calabasas and Lamar staying at his LA apartment. Although our favorite Dash Doll has yet to publically address any of these speculations, one look at her instagram is verification enough.
Khloe seems to be leading life as usual, making necessary appearances for Dash as well as posting her usual daily selfies. It would appear that nothing is going on in her life but pictures such as ones with sister, Kendall, entitled “where there is love there is life” or “my smile, my heart, my life” as well as selfie shots reminding her followers to “love yourself for a lifetime rather than a moment” suggest that something is amiss. Even though Khloe is always the first to remind us to love others and ourselves, these pictures seem to have taken the place of ones that would normally include Lamar. However, the most telltale sign on Khloe’s instagram is a depressing image of a woman reading, “she smiles to mask the pain in her heart, she laughs to conceal the tears in her eyes”. For a usually upbeat Kardashian, Khloe seems to be dealing with emotional troubles that we can only assume are caused by her now tumultuous relationship with Lamar.
We have seen Khloe overcome struggle in her life and we know that she will make it through this with or without Lamar. When she fell in love and married her “Lammy,” Kardashian fans across the country were overjoyed that our favorite sister had finally found happiness in life. Khloe reminds us everyday to be strong and take things in stride. We can only hope that she will take her own advice, as it seems she has, and make it through this situation a better and happier person. We love you Khlo! Xo
