What did you wear freshman year versus what do you wear now?

Freshman year I used to get up early before all my classes to do my hair, makeup, and dress nicely. I always wanted to look good for my classes so I would even bring my gym clothes to change into after. Now I wear gym clothes to class and I don’t really care what I look like. I only dress up if I’m going out on a date or on the weekends.

What activities did you participate in freshman year and what are involved in now?

I didn’t really get involved my freshman year because I wanted to focus on academics so I only joined the Student Nutrition Association. Now I’m very involved in Chi Omega and their volunteer work with the Make-A-Wish foundation and Pease Greeters. Some of the work we do with the Make-A-Wish foundation includes Mr. UNH, Swishes for Wishes, and participating in a holiday party for terminal ill children. Pease Greeters is something that’s close to my heart because my dad is a marine and this organization welcomes troops who are coming home from deployment.

Where did you want to live your first year and where did you decide to live this year?

Freshman year I had no clue where I wanted to live because not many people come to UNH from Cape Cod. Since I didn’t know much about the campus, I ended up in Hetzel Hall, which is on Main Street. This year I decided to live in the Chi Omega sorority house so I could spend my last year here with all my sisters. The house is always filled with activity and there’s always people coming into the house to visit. The small blue house with the white picket fence is more than just a house, it’s the heart of Chi Omega and I wouldn’t want to live anywhere else.

Are you still friends with the same people that you met when you first got here?

I feel like freshman year you’re friends with a lot of people because they’re in your classes or you live with them, so naturally you grow apart. I’m still really close with my roommate I had my freshman year, but other than that I’ve met different people that I’m a lot closer too.

What was your dream job when you began college?

I always knew I wanted to be a nutrition major, but originally I thought I was going to move onto nursing school after graduation. After awhile I realized nursing wasn’t my passion when I began lifting and participating in bikini competitions. Now my dream is to open up a fitness studio and offer personal training, a variety of classes, and nutrition counseling. I want everyone to have the opportunity to learn how to live a healthy
