If your parents are anything like mine, finding them the perfect Christmas gift can be hard. When my parents want or need something, they will buy it for themselves no matter how many times I tell them to write it down on a Christmas list for my brother and I to get them. When November rolled around and I asked what they wanted for Christmas, my dad claimed he did not need anything, and my mom sent me a link to a pair of socks… not exactly the gift I had in mind. After a lot of searching, I have compiled a list of five different gift ideas to give to your parents this holiday season:
1. Aura Digital Picture Frame
The first idea is a digital picture frame that displays photos uploaded to a connected app. The frames linked above are a little pricey, but great quality. You can definitely find some cheaper options, just make sure to read reviews! Photos can be uploaded from anywhere, so this gift is an especially good option if your parents are empty nesters. My brother has moved out and I am going abroad next semester, so we are planning to get this for our parents this year and upload photos to pop-up in the frame for my parents to see. You can also preload photos, so the frame is ready for use right away.
2. College Apparel
College apparel is always a go-to option for me. My parents love wearing anything UNH, and I have gotten them many t-shirts, sweatshirts, and quarter zips over the years. You could even get apparel from where you work, for an organization you’re involved in, etc.; anything to give your parents a reason to brag about you!
3. Matching YETI Drinkware

The next idea is matching drinkware. My personal favorite are YETI tumblers, but there are tons of great drinkware brands with everything from travel mugs to wine tumblers. There is something for everyone and most products can be customized with different colors or text. You can definitely find great gifts for both parents!
4. Personalized House Décor
Personalized home décor is always a hit. There are tons of options out there that can be personalized depending on your family. If you have a pet, West & Willow do the cutest personalized pet portraits. Another option would be a family portrait or even a painting of a place that is important to your family. If your parents’ walls are full, you could get a personalized welcome mat. Be creative and they will love it!
5. An Experience
If your parents really have everything they need, get them an experience. Bonus points if it’s something you do with them. A great thing about this gift is that you can decide how pricey it is. I know my parents would love something as simple as going to the movies as a family, or you could splurge and get them a spa certificate or gift card for dinner. It really depends on your parents’ interests, but experiences are always a great option.
