This week’s celeb is definitely sure to make you laugh. You may have seen him as your campu tour guide, or maybe you know him from the UNF Rugby team, the UNF Deadbirds! If not, I’m pretty sure he knows you. This celeb seems to know everyone on campus, but in a good way. His outgoing personality just makes you want to be his friend. And, fun fact, he says he’s known on campus as “Chocolate Drizzle” or “OLA!”

Name: Olajuwon Roberts

Major: Political Science/ Public Relations

Year: Junior

HC: How does it feel to be a “celebrity?”

OR: That’s funny because I don’t feel like a celebrity. Knowing a lot of people is just easy for me because of my personality. I am very outgoing. It feels pretty normal, in the most non-arrogant way.

HC: What made you choose your major? And what are some of you career goals/ future aspirations?

OR:  I wanted to be a lawyer but I realized that there was too much reading! My “ultimate goal” is to be a motivational speaker/ life coach. I have another goal, which is to have a non-profit organization. I want to start a non profit for children and the disadvantaged get an education. I want them to make a difference.

HC: What clubs/activities are you affiliated with?

OR: From freshmen year to currently I was apart of: SWOOP Squad, UNF Tour Guide, Rugby, Osprey Productions, W.O.W. Leader, I.L.M. for O.C.T., Orientation Team Leader, Big Brother Big Sister, African American Student Union. I chose to over work myself freshmen year and ended up not being able to fully commit to all that I was involved in. I was spread too thin. I chose what was important to me, Rugby. The atmosphere is what I want to be apart of.

HC:Do you hold any executive positions?

OR: Yeah, I’m VP of the Rugby team.

HC: What do you do for fun?

OR: Long walks on the beach, Netflix, spending time with my little brother, laughing at people, love taking pictures, making people laugh and smile, being surrounded by people. I love dancing…but only if ones are being thrown! (Kidding!)

HC: How do you know so many people on campus?

OR: Everyone wants to meet new people and make new friends but no one wants to make the first move. People are scared or don’t have the _____ (he actually said blank) to do it. Many people are scared of rejection.

HC: What’s the biggest impact you have made at UNF?

OR: Through being an Orientation Team Leader I met new freshmens that I am still in contact with today. For my birthday (a couple of days ago) they told me “thank you” for the advice I gave them years ago that is changing their life. No matter who you are, you have a place on this campus. People don’t think they can be themselves at college for fear of judgement. Showing students how great of a school UNF is my impact. Promoting school spirit and making students realize what makes UNF so special is the mark I want to leave at UNF.

My name is Techeira Francis and I am a Junior at the University of North Florida. I am a Criminal Justice major with a minor in Psychology. My name is Maya Dartiguenave, and I am a senior at the University of North Florida. I'm a communications major, with a focus in public relations. Reading, writing, anything to do with words is what holds my true interest, which is why I'm so happy to be a part of Her Campus! I'm so excited to have started UNF's chapter of Her Campus! While I claim to be a Florida girl for now, my heart belongs to Philadelphia, always. (Go, Eagles!) I hope to move away from Florida after graduation, work my way through grad school, and begin my career in publishing. The future is definitely going to be an adventure, and I can't wait for it!
