HC: Relationship Status:

RJP: Single.

HC: Hometown:

RJP: Boca Raton, Florida.

HC: What’s your favorite thing about being a student at UNCW?

RJP: Going to a school seven miles from the beach!

HC: Hobbies?

RJP: Basketball, Working out, Beach Vollyball and eating Sushi!

HC: What have you acted in so far?

RJP: HBO‘s East Bound and Down, CBS‘s Under the Dome Season two, Feature Film The Squeeze, Coastal Urge Commercial, CBS‘s The Red Zone, and WWAY News Style Segment.

HC:What sparked your interest in acting?

RJP: I have always had a strong passion for it– Daniel Day Lewis movies have always inspired me in acting.

HC: What has been your favorite acting job by far?

RJP: East Bound and Down, working with Danny Mcbride was an amazing experience. I don’t think I stopped laughing the entire time.

HC: Have you met any famous people (other than yourself)?

RJP: Danny Mcbride, Katy Mixon, Ken Marino, Christopher McDonald (Shooter Mcgavin), and most recently I did the last scene in the Pilot of The Red Zone where I finished off the episode face-to-face with David Paymer.

HC: Is it true that you are also a singer?

RJP: I try and sing, but I would need lessons before I could consider myself a singer. I lip synched the Rascal Flatts song Here Comes Goodbye for a music video, but that’s about as far as my career goes in singing lol.

HC: What got you interested in singing?

RJP: I just enjoy doing it.

HC: Is it true that you’re a model as well?

RJP: Yes, I have been modeling for almost three years now.

HC: What made you begin modeling?

RJP: I did a photo shoot after my first bodybuilding competition, and I really felt like I was good at it, so I kept pushing to see if I could make it. After spending Christmas in Miami modeling for Lacoste, I feel like I acheived this.

HC: How do you find time to juggle your busy lifestyle?

RJP: It has truly been a challenge to try and be successful at UNCW as well as with my modeling and acting career. With acting you will typically spend an average of at least 12 hours on set per day, and with modeling you’re looking at a lot of traveling. It has led to many all-nighters, and never-ending emails with my  professors to find a way to fit it all in, but as one of my favorite professor’s Dr. Edward Graham says, “Sacrifice yields dividends.”

HC: Favorite quote?

RJP: “There’s no reason for a plan B, because it distracts from plan A” Will Smith

HC: Are there any websites that our viewers can visit to sample your modeling, singing and acting skills?

RJP: You can check out my Facebook Remington Jay Perregaux, also my website should be finished and published by Sunday night RemingtonJayPerregaux.com

HC: What are your plans after graduating?

RJP: After graduating in December I plan to take the next step in my career and move to a area with more opportunity. I have done most of my traveling to New York City, so I am thinking maybe there or L.A.

HC: Do you have any advice for UNCW students?

RJP: Utilize UNCW as much as possible, there are never-ending amounts of outlets that will help you so much in your pursuit of your career, and you should take full advantage of it while you have the opportunity!
