Relationship Status: They celebrated their first anniversary January 18th
I have personally known Spencer and Katharine for a few years and I would describe their relationship as one for the books. Their chemistry is so apparent that people who have just met them can tell that they are meant to be together. Spencer and Katharine have managed to keep their relationship exciting and strong during the tough transition into college. With Valentine’s Day coming up, they are a picture perfect couple everyone could use to take a few notes from.
HC: How did you start dating?
SB: We went to junior prom together, which was unfortunately a fruitless endeavor. Our senior year of high school, we were in the same research class and began spending more time together. I think that class was the necessary catalyst for our romantic relationship to begin. Some of my favorite memories are of our high school sweetheart days. As we grew closer, we made the step to become exclusive and exactly a week later we began dating.
HC: Katharine, what is your best memory with Spencer?
KB: It’s hard to pick just one, but one of the many favorite memories I have of us was our one year anniversary spent together. That day allowed us to reflect upon how much we have grown as a couple, as well as how much we love and care about each other.
HC: Spencer, what is your favorite thing about Katharine?
SB: My favorite thing about Katharine is hard to choose, but when I think of the things I love about her, I can trace their roots back to one character trait: selflessness. Katharine cares more about me than she does herself. That is incredibly powerful. She goes out of her way to do things for me, big and little.
KB: My favorite things about Spencer are how spontaneous, caring, devoted, romantic, charismatic, and funny he is. There is never a dull moment when we are together.
HC: Katharine, what is your favorite thing to do with Spencer on a typical day?
KB: On a typical day, my favorite thing to do is to just relax at home together in the evening when we are done with classes.
HC: What are your Valentine’s Day plans?
SB: For Valentine’s Day, instead of going out to dinner, I asked Katharine if she would like to cook a special homemade dinner together. I love being in the kitchen with her. I love watching her cook, because being domestic can be quite sexy. Valentine’s Day is not an extra significant gift-giving holiday for us, but I will be giving her my childhood teddy bear wearing just a dab of the cologne she got me for our anniversary.
