Black History Month is very special to me because it’s one of the perfect times to celebrate African American History, as well as the present achievements of African Americans. In this article I want to list some black owned businesses in North Carolina in hopes that you would support them!

 

  1. BW Sweets Bakery is a full service bakery offering a product line of all things sweet and savory.

  2. SALTBOX Seafood Joint( Durham) offers seasonal, fresh seafood that is fresh from the Carolina coast.

  3. Pangea Tapas Bar & Grill (Huntersville) offers international themed appetizers, fruit trays, and moderate entertainment.

  4. Mr 3’s Crab Pot (Charlotte- take-out only) is a seafood place that offers a great tasting and fresh food. They are also in Gastonia and Rock Hill.

  5. Tropical Goodies (North Charlotte) has serves authentic Caribbean food and drinks.

  6. Sweetest Thing Bakery (Charlotte) serves made to order Desserts with great detail and the fresh ingredients.

  7. Soul Central (Charlotte) brings an island twist to traditional Southern style cooking.

  8. Red @ 28 (Charlotte) is a place where people can hang out and chill. The set up is vintage. They also serve mixed drinks & flavored hookah pipes.

  9. Beyú Caffe (Durham) is a relaxed hang out spot that offers coffee, all-day American fare, a full bar, live jazz, and free WiFi.

  10. Charlie’s Angels Beauty bar (Charlotte) Is a salon that offers a wide range of styles that include: styles, precision cuts, treatments, full sew ins, frontal install, makeup and waxing services.
