It’s May! Let’s Check In on Our 2021 Goals

How are your New Year’s Resolutions going? We all know that New Year’s Resolution is a trending word in December, January and February… but what about the rest of the year? I am a firm believer in setting yearly and monthly goals instead of New Year’s Resolutions.

Every January, I make a list of goals that I set for myself for the entire year. I work on these goals all year, checking in on them monthly. Personally, I love goal setting. It keeps me in check and helps me work for the life that I want. Since it is May, I took a hard look at my goals and realized what I need to focus on versus what I already accomplished.

Seeing that I already accomplished some of my goals and at least started all my goals makes me feel amazing and unstoppable. It is so important to give yourself the credit you deserve! One of my big goals for 2021 was to improve my mental health. Knowing that I even made any improvement at all is a huge step, and makes me want to keep working even harder toward all my goals. Another goal that I set for myself was to learn photography, but let’s just say this goal needs some serious work.

No matter where you are in life or in the year, it is never too late to start working for what you want. Just remember, you are in control of your life, so be a goal-getter and never give up!
