Sugar Polish Nail Bar: Your New Go-To Nail Salon in Athens

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

If you’re looking to get your nails done in Athens, Sugar Polish Nail Bar needs to be your new place. Here are a few reasons why:

The interior is SUPER fancy and stylish.

When you walk inside, of course you’ll see the typical spa chairs and the regular nail technician desks. However, look up and feast your eyes on the beautiful, sparkly chandeliers! Also, on both of the long walls, there are two flat-screen televisions so you’ll always be entertained.

Fast service!

Okay, so I’ve only been there twice so far, but on each of those visits, I’ve been served as soon as I walk in the door, even though both times I went were during peak hours (a Friday night and a Saturday afternoon).

The nail techs do great nails and great conversation.

The photo seen above are my nails from my first visit. I have yet to leave out of Sugar Polish less than satisfied with the quality of my nails. On both visits, I have had funny conversations with the nail techs there and my nails turned out amazing.

They cater to UGA students

Upon questioning the nail techs at Sugar Polish’s clientele, they informed me that around 80% are UGA students! So don’t feel bad about bringing your girls here for a spa day; you might even see someone else you know. Also, there’s a 10% student discount so don’t forget to show your ID at the checkout desk!

It’s close to campus!

Sugar Polish is located at 125 Hickory Street in Athens and about a 9-minute walk from the Arch. You could also take a 6-minute bus ride from that point. If you’re driving, however, you’ll need to pay for parking at the meters located in front of the shop, but it’s only $1/hour. Not bad for parking, right?

Next time you need your nails done in Athens, hit up Sugar Polish! For more information, you can check out their Facebook page here. And who knows? You might even bump into yours truly. ;)
