Halloween is the one time of year we can dress up like our favorite characters, and everyone does the same. Personally, my favorite Halloween costumes are always classic female characters from Halloween movies. So, whether you are looking for a few last-minute costumes or just here to browse, let’s go through a list of my personal favorite spooky female characters.

Emily van Dort from The Corpse Bride

Not only is the entire movie The Corpse Bride excellent, but Emily’s character is also so interesting. I love her wedding dress and ghostly personality—she would make an excellent costume.

Morticia Addams

Dressed head to toe in black, Morticia Addams is the spookiest queen around. When it comes to Halloween, she simply understood the assignment.

Sabrina the Teenage Witch

Sabrina is an old-school classic. She’s the stylish witch next door who might cast a spell on you with her friendly black cat, Salem, as her accomplice. She would make a great costume, whether you dress up as the original Sabrina or the newer version based on the Netflix series: Chilling Adventures of Sabrina.

Carrie is not only horrifying; she is an original female leader of Halloween. Dressing up as this Halloween celebrity for Halloween is also a safe bet because everyone will know who you are. A classic Carrie costume could be made chic but also gory/ scary, combining all aspects of a great outfit.

Sally from The Nightmare Before Christmas

Personally, Sally is my favorite Halloween Queen. Sally is sweet, nurturing, and also clever. Her romance with Jack Skellington is timeless, and I find it challenging to name a better Halloween couple.
