This senior marketing major from Buffalo, New York has been busy with a lot more than just schoolwork! Founder of the UGA club gymnastics team, which recently placed second in its first ever meet, member of the Atlas business society, and Terry ambassador, Chelsea has plenty on her plate.
Chelsea successfully founded the club gymnastics team in 2011. Setting it up involved working on a club constitution, creating eight officer positions, and developing a long-term business plan to keep the club around long after her time here at UGA. Currently, Chelsea still has the mass amount of responsibility involved with being the president of a club sports team including developing a team budget and coming up with fundraisers to keep the club and its low member dues that allow all students with a passion for gymnastics to be able to participate.
As a Terry ambassador, Chelsea has another full of responsibility. Her position involves working with alumni and having them speak to the students, breakfast with the dean of Terry school of business, welcome events for those new to Terry, and mentoring underclassmen. But Chelsea doesn’t restrict her business involvement to the classroom. This summer she opened a business for vector marketing, hired 105 people, and now her business ranks 16 out of 300 in the nation.
Graduating in May, there’s no doubt that this senior will be headed on to do even more exciting things after her graduation from the University of Georgia.
