5 Must-Haves on a Road Trip Alone

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UGA chapter.

Although road trips with friends are filled with laughter and new memories, sometimes road trips by yourself can be just as rewarding. Don’t think so? Make sure to have these five things with you on your next road trip alone and it is sure to be a success!

1. Favorite playlist

Because who wouldn’t want to sing at the top of their lungs to all their favorite songs?

2. Dog (or favorite stuffed animal – Don’t worry, it’s a road trip by yourself remember?)

Dogs are always excited for an adventure, but if you’re dogless, a stuffed animal is just as great. Honestly what’s the difference? They both listen to whatever’s on your mind.

3. Sunglasses

Besides blocking the sun, sunglasses are great for looking at the cute guy next to you at a red light without him noticing.

4. Favorite snack and/or drink

Why not enjoy yourself to the fullest?

5. GPS (aka your smartphone)

Add a cool restaurant or tourist attraction to your route to make it more exciting!

Here’s to no more boring road trips alone!
