Because so many Gators are heading North to Tallahassee for the UF-FSU game the Saturday after Thanksgiving, Her Campus UFL wanted to provide a few suggestions for things to do while in enemy territory. Although tailgates are an obvious way to spend gameday, you most likely won’t be tailgating all day long. If you need ways to kill time, consider these activities!

Food:

Momma Goldberg’s
Momma Goldberg’s is right on the Tennessee strip across from campus. The classic Auburn joint is a great place to grab a sandwich or nachos before (or after!) the game.

Jasmine Café
If you are looking for an intimate and more chic place to eat after the game, consider Jasmine Café. Located in downtown Tallahassee, this hole-in-the-wall establishment is sure to be a fast favorite.

Whataburger
If you are going out in Tallahassee, you will be sure to visit a Whataburger. Known for its late-night delicacies, this fast food restaurant will be the perfect way to quell your case of the munchies.

Shell Oyster Bar
Located south of town, Shell Oyster Bar is an old-fashioned restaurant where they serve the best fried seafood in Leon County. Luke Bryan was even spotted there this fall when he was in town on tour. Just remember: It’s a cash-only restaurant.

Things to see on campus:

While FSU is our bitter adversary, there are still many things we can appreciate on their campus. Play tourist for an hour or so and wander around!

The Westcott Building
The Westcott Building is one of the most iconic buildings on campus whose façade is unparalleled in Tallahassee. Here you can take beautiful gameday photos and pose by the infamous fountain that FSU students jump in on their 21st birthdays.

The Unconquered Statue
This 31-foot statue of Chief Osceola and Renegade stands as tribute to the Seminole tribe. The history of the actual Seminole tribe’s bravery is something even the most diehard Gators can respect.

Emeril Lagasse
This might seem like a random addition to the list but if you are wandering around, be on the lookout for this celebrity chef. Rumor has it he is shooting a cooking channel special that features a hamburger-cooking contest between sorority teams from both UF and FSU.

Remember these tips, and have a fabulous time cheering on the Gators in a hostile environment! Go Gators!
