These Boots Are Made For Walkin’

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

This fall, flat boots are an obvious staple to have in your wardrobe, but don’t forget about the booted wedge. Each fall, I find myself attracted to the leather-esque materials, usually in light or dark brown shades.  Shapes and styles vary and there’s a style for everyone.

Let’s be real, we’re all college students, who wants to spend a fortune on boots? Don’t even mention real leather boots.  Don’t let your style suffer because of a price tag and remember you don’t have to spend a fortune to make a statement.  The booties pictured below were my latest purchase from JustFabulous.com and I spent a whopping $40…that’s it!

I wore them out the same night they came in the mail and received compliment after compliment.  Here’s my advice with fashion; don’t be afraid to make a statement.  These are my statement shoes and I love the figure-skating shape it exudes.

Not a heel type of girl? These are a great way to step out of your comfort zone and try a shoe that’s not quite a heel, yet definitely not a flat.  The best part about it for those long nights out?  These wedges provide great support and allow you to endure the entire night without the painful fatigue heels never fail to deliver.

They can be worn to class (if you’re feeling extra trendy) or dressed up with a cute skirt or high wasted shorts for a night on the town.  When the cooler winter weather comes, bring out the booties to keep your feet warm and keep your fashion up to par. A new staple for your fall and winter wardrobe? You decide!
