This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UFL chapter.

Oh, washi tape. We all see it on display while walking the aisles of craft stores, but what in the name of DIY-gods could anyone use it for? Well, I’m here to help you all put that cute patterned tape to good use with these five easy DIYs!

1. Flirty vases This is probably the easiest of all but looks absolutely unique. Taking washi tape and carefully wrapping it around the milk jar can really add a fun texture to an otherwise plain decoration. Stick some flowers or pencils in there, and you’re ready to get decorating!

2. Girly pencils We all need extra motivation to get our homework done. These pencils definitely motivate you to write your essays and Spanish homework late at night. Simply wrap the washi tape around the pencils, and you’ve got yourself some stylish little writing tools!

3. Glamorous notebook Arrive to class in style with one of these washi tape notebooks in hand. Making a pattern with the washi tape, strategically place the tape on the notebook. For some beautiful school supplies, glam your books up with washi tape!

4. Stylish chargers Be the queen bee with these gorgeous personalized chargers. Circling washi tape around your chargers can help you keep your chords organized and change them from drab to fab!

5. Cute keyboard Show off your one-of-a-kind washi tape keyboard while typing your notes in class. Why not make those long nights at Library West more fun by adding squares of cut washi tape pieces to the keys of your laptop? You’re sure to make all of your friends envious and receive tons of compliments!

The uses are endless for this inexpensive, versatile crafting tool. Don’t let the little packaging fool you; washi tape packs a punch. Just adding these little details to your everyday items can make a huge difference, so why not glam it up?
