It’s finally fall in Florida! Well, almost. The glorious time of the year where we can trade in our shorts and tank tops for jeans and cozy sweatshirts. Imagine walking across campus and not being a sweaty mess by the time you get to class. I know, I can’t wait. Here are some fall fashion trends that will surely put you in the mood to go take pictures at the pumpkin patch.

Brown

Ok, so not a new trend but it is definitely one that is staying around. Brown in everything is in style right now. From cute little purses to full-on jackets, you can never go wrong with adding brown to your outfit. It’s such a great color for fall and sure to make you look warm and cozy.

Green sneakers

Green is not usually the color you envision when thinking about fall, but, trust me, you need at least one pair of dark green sneakers in your closet. If you can snag a pair of green New Balance 550s you officially win at life. These are the shoes that everyone wants, scratch that, NEEDS right now. Another pair of sneakers that will make everyone stop and ask how you got them is the dark green Converse Chuck 70s. These shoes are just it. They’re everything. They go with any outfit and, let’s be honest, the regular black converse shoes are getting so boring. Spice up your fall wardrobe with these options.

Faux Leather

Faux leather pants are so chic. It’s the fall item you need to elevate any outfit. They can be so versatile, too. Wear them on a night out with a corset and some heels or just wear them with a t-shirt and some sneakers. Faux leather corsets are also super cute. Leather just gives you that edge that you need in an outfit sometimes. It’s perfect when you really want to make an impression that will catch everyone’s eye.

Cowboy boots

Ok, it’s time to give in. If you don’t have a pair of cowboy boots right now, it’s time to get some. These are going to stay in style for a long time. Any color will do, but an all-black or all-white pair will match a multitude of outfits and stand out. I’ll admit it, I didn’t like cowboy boots at first, but they have grown on me. They look good with everything: dresses, skirts, jeans or whatever you decide to wear them with. They’re the ultimate replacement to the terrible Ugg boot phase that we all had in middle school or high school.

Burnt Lip Gloss

This Y2K makeup trend is coming back and it’s right in time for fall. It seems like everyone in the early 2000s was wearing some type of golden, burnt, brick lip gloss. Think Regina George from “Mean Girls.” This lip color is sure to coordinate with every outfit you could possibly think of. It gives a sort of sun-kissed glow to your face that complements each skin tone. It definitely gives off major fall vibes.

Now that we are no longer quarantining, we can finally show off our outfits. Take the opportunity to use these trends as inspiration when you’re on your next shopping spree. Don’t be afraid to stand out!
