Why Kylie Jenner And Timothee Chalamet Make Perfect Sense, From The Perspective Of A Leo Woman

I hope I don’t offend any die-hard Timothee Chalamet fans by saying this, but the man is definitely punching in his new relationship with Kylie Jenner, not the other way around.

The reason that the relationship between these two celebrities is so hard to get on board with for so many is not because they deem either one of them unattractive or unworthy of a good partner. It’s simply because Kylie Jenner has a history of dating “cool” men — well-versed in fashion, the music industry, and flexing their copious amounts of money — Timothee Chalamet doesn’t really fit this stereotype.

Sure, he has money, but he’s not particularly cool. He was a slightly weird theater kid in high school, was rumored to give chlamydia to half of his class in college, and is one of new faces of SNL (but unlike Jacob Elordi, the skits are not centered around his dazzling good looks). So why did Kylie Jenner let him into her life?

Kylie’s past relationships are the type that gives everyone a headache — long, dramatic, inconsistent, and slightly petty. She appears to look at love like a typical fire sign would: with the expectation that it will last forever. Her first real relationship began when she was freshly sixteen, and spanned albeit, (inconsistently) over the length of six years with Tyga. And not much later, she had a child with Travis Scott after only a year of dating. She seems to go into her relationships with the intention to fully commit to a life with the other person. And, as another Leo woman who has devoted herself to a toxic on-and-off relationship for the past five years, I get it. It’s fun to date a ‘cool’ guy, and is a huge confidence booster at the beginning. But I also get why she’s looking for something new.

In other words, with Timothee, Kylie Jenner knows she’s the catch; and she knows that she is in control of the start (and, let’s face it, the end) of this short-lived relationship. To be honest, I don’t think that the continuity of her relationship with Timothee Chalamet has much to do with Timothee at all — it is about discovering herself, playing around with what it is like to be in a relationship that doesn’t necessarily have an end goal. I mean, basically every news article about them uses the words “easy” and “fun” to describe their connection. They might not talk about much, but that also means that they are probably not arguing that often.

This is a new era for Kylie. She has so many things to focus on in her life, and it is obvious that a relationship is certainly not a priority for her right now. The Kardashians and Jenners love to start trends, and I think Kylie might have started a big one — making relationships fun again.

Kylie’s turning a new leaf in typical Leo fashion — by putting herself first. She seems to want to have the best of both worlds — the freedom to focus on family and business, coupled with the fun and excitement that comes with dating a new guy. But this time around, she’s leaving out all of the pain that can come from a serious relationship by not making her relationship serious at all. And honestly, I am inspired!

As long as you keep an open-mind, being in an unserious relationship might be just what you need in your life. To be able to have fun with another person, go on interesting dates and get to know their unique perspective on life, while also being able to avoid all of the toxicity that is often tacked on to a committed relationship, is perfect for the type of girl who likes to have fun but also prioritizes her own success at the end of the day.

So, at least to me, Kylie Jenner’s relationship with Timothee Chalamet makes perfect sense. He is not husband material, but he is fun, and is just what a busy billionaire businesswoman like herself needs in the new year.
