Five minutes until class and still can’t find anything to wear in your closet? Here II Stay, an up-and-coming LA based apparel line, aims to fix that problem. With a fresh perspective on casual T-shirts and sweatshirts, Here II Stay is an appealing brand for college students who want both comfort and style. One of the founders and graduate of UC Santa Barbara, Eila Nazer, talks about the inspiration behind the designs.
Who created Here II Stay?
Here II Stay was created in 2014 by Armin Hakimi, Rahmin Vaziri and Eila Nazer. We are three streetwear enthusiasts that each come from a different background of the industry. One being a part of production, a part of retail/sales, and the a part of marketing/promotions. We have each individually engraved the industry into our everyday lives and are now working on mastering it as a whole.
How does the creative process work? What inspires the designs?
From brainstorming sketches as a group to taking our ideas to the designer, many different takes of one design come about. We mess around with different drawings, colors and placements so each shirt carries its own individuality. We are inspired to create unique designs that are both simple and original.
Who do you see wearing Here II Stay?
We plan on expanding Here II Stay by continuously outreaching to different demographics. We want to continue creating items that inspire different age groups, ethnicities, and genders to want to go out and purchase our product.
What type of clothing items and accesories do you plan on adding to the line in the future?
While T-shirts and hoodies are what we began the company on, in the near future we will be adding socks, beanies, hats, and sweats with intentions of much more to come.
Do you have a favorite item so far?
Personally, my favorite designs thus far is a tie between the infiniti pocket tee and our westside tee.
