Most Coveted: Lorac Pro Palette Review

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCSB chapter.

I have to admit… I’m a neutral eye shadow palette junkie. I’ve tried everything from the affordable NYX palette (Wicked Dreams) to the infamous Naked palettes to the more modern Smashbox Full Exposure palette. While all those palettes did their job, I wanted to get my hands on the infamous Lorac Pro palette (most coveted by famous Youtube Beauty gurus).

The palette comes with 16 neutral colors with top half being matte and bottom half being shimmery, and comes with a mini eye shadow primer. The colors are amazing and highly pigmented so a little goes a long way. Also, it is super easy to work with. While it is comparable to the Naked, it has more matte options, which I personally love.

My everyday eye shadow look right now is Light Bronze (light gold, shimmery) all over the lid, Taupe (reminds me of ‘Buck’ from Naked) in the crease, Sable/Expresso (dark browns) on my outer v, and Mauve (brownish pink) as the blending color.

The only downside of the palette would be the packaging. With a price tag of about $42, the “container” the eyeshadows are held in are mediocre. The thin cardboard the box is made out of just doesn’t cut it for me.

But, overall, I would definitely recommend it, as it is one of the best palettes out there. So, go check this product out at your local Ulta store today!
