In the midst of summer boredom, many Collegiettes™ are looking for ways to entertain themselves around the house.  HerCampus UCSB put together a cookbook for the crafty Collegiettes™ out there! Theses are all recipes for natural beauty regimens that can be made from the everyday ingredients in your kitchen! So put your apron on and enjoy!

1. Lemon Body Scrub Ingredients:
• 5 tablespoons Sea Salt
• 1 tablespoon Olive Oil
• 1 Lemon
Instructions:
• First mix the olive oil and sea salt together. Make sure all of the salt gets coated by the oil, so the lemon won’t dissolve it! Then, cut the lemon in half and squeeze it over the salt and oil. Mix it all together, then scrub away! I must say, after using this scrub in my daily routine, I love, love, love it! It leaves your skin super soft and lemon-y! :)

2. Brown Sugar Lip Scrub Ingredients:
• 1 teaspoon Brown Sugar
• 1 teaspoon Honey
• 1 teaspoon Olive Oil/Petroleum Jelly
Instructions:
• Mix the brown sugar and honey together to create a paste and thickly coat your lips. Leave it on for a few minutes then start gently scrubbing with your finger until all the dead skin has been buffed off. Dab olive oil or lip balm on your lips afterwards to moisturize. This sweet concoction will leave your lips kissable and smooth!

3. Yogurt and Honey Face Mask Ingredients:
• 1 tablespoon Natural Yogurt
• 1 teaspoon Honey
Instructions:
• Mix honey and yogurt together then apply evenly over face. Let the mixture sit for 15 minutes. Then, wash face with a steaming washcloth. (Tip: If your skin tends to be excessively dry, add an extra teaspoon of honey! If your skin is oily, add a few drops of fresh lime juice!) This odd combination of ingredients is a great way to refresh and rejuvenate your skin for a pretty summer complexion!

4. Avocado Banana Hair Treatment Ingredients:
• 1 Banana
• 1 Avocado
• 1 tablespoon of Wheatgerm Oil (I know what you’re thinking: What in the world is wheatgerm oil—I know I don’t have that in my kitchen!? Don’t worry this can easily be substituted with olive oil!)
• A few drops of essential oils, such as lavender, rose, jasmine, etc. (This is totally optional, it just gives your mixture a little burst of fragrance!)
Instructions:
• Mash up all of the ingredients together, preferably with a blender! Shampoo hair, comb it out and towel-dry. Then, apply mixture into hair and let it sit for about 15 minutes (or longer if you want!). Rinse the treatment out and reveal gorgeous, shiny hair!

5. Brown Sugar Hand Scrub Ingredients:
• 1/2 cup of Brown Sugar
• 3 tablespoons Olive Oil
• 3 tablespoons Water
Instructions:
• Mix the sugar, olive oil and water together until there are no lumps in it. Apply mixture to your hands and rub in a circular motion. Rinse when you are finished. (Warning: Don’t continue to rub if skin starts to burn or is tender!) This scrub might be a little too rough for your face, but it will work great on hands (and feet!)
