This week’s campus celebrity may or may not be a new face to some of you. Either way he is definitely a face worth familiarizing yourself with. This golf star is a stud both on and off the green. Here’s the dish on UCLA’s very own Preston Valder.
How old were you when you started playing golf and how did you get into the sport?
I was probably two or three when I first got into the sport and I got into it through my dad. I just started going to the range with him when I was very young.
What’s your craziest memory from your time at UCLA so far?
Probably either a trip to Georgia with my team or some nights going out with my teammates.
Aside from golf, what do you like to do in your free time?
I like to hang out with my teammates either playing other sports or just doing something really relaxing.
If you could travel anywhere in the world, where would it be?
It would be to Spain or Italy.
Describe your ideal date?
Candlelit Italian dinner somewhere by a beach ocean or lake ending by a fire.
