A decade old pattern is happily making its way back on the streets. Polka dots have been fashions newest conversation piece this season. Usually a pattern people seem to shy away from, this fashionista piles on the polka dots and boy does she look fabulous! Pairing her polka dot skirt from H&M with a pink polka dot shirt from Jason Wu’s new target line was the perfect way to mix this pattern without going overboard. Her accessories, which complete this look, include cognac oxfords, a leather jacket embellished with gold and silver studs and her vintage, tribal inspired messenger bag (I wish this wasn’t vintage because it is even more amazing in person!) The fact that she took several statement pieces and made them work together is why I love this look. Just because the last time you saw this pattern is at home watching reruns of “I Love Lucy” doesn’t mean its not fashions newest craze! Start small and pick up polka dot accessories then channel your inner fashionista and take a risk!
