Holiday Gift Guide: Check off Everyone on Your List

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCF chapter.

It’s that time of the year again where the holiday season is in full swing and we’re thrilled for the festivities to come. At the same time, some of you may be struggling to find the ideal gift for your friends, family and other loved ones this joyful time of year. Here are some holiday gift-giving ideas below to help get you started on this season’s shopping. Happy shopping!

For the Beauty Enthusiast

The holidays make for the perfect time to purchase any sort of beauty product for your loved ones. Score a great deal and take advantage of the high-quality gift sets from popular brands. Depending on your budget, you may even consider splitting up gift sets for more than one recipient.

For the makeup lover, you may contemplate purchasing a gift set from Sephora or Ulta Beauty, like the Rare Beauty 4 Piece Set or Charlotte Tilbury Gift set. This allows the recipient to try out multiple products from a high-quality brand they otherwise wouldn’t splurge on themselves to enjoy. The loved one that preaches self-care and inspires you to have a good skincare routine may enjoy a gift set as well to try out some new products or restock. Some sets you could possibly order include the First Aid Beauty Gift Set, Olaplex Healthy Hair Essentials Kit, or the Glow Recipe Bestseller Kit.

For the Foodies

If you have a loved one who enjoys food or has a sweet tooth, then these may be the perfect gifts for them. If you think they would favor more of an experience-like gift, go sign them up for a baking or cooking class! They’ll be sure to remember the experience and savor the new creations they got to try and now make themselves. Some other ideas would be gifting them some new baking or cooking utensils or creating a package with their favorite snacks and sweets.

For the Book Aficionado

For the book lover in your life, they probably have an increasing list of books they want to read and not enough of a budget to buy them all. Now, this is where you come in!

Consider getting these people in your life either a Barnes & Noble Gift Card or a Book of the Month subscription to get their next book choices. A couple of other essentials you could potentially gift from any bookstore near you are a quality book light for your loved one’s night reading or bookmarks they would enjoy. If you’re looking to personalize or find more creative bookmarks, find them on Etsy or a variety of small shops.

for the Fandom

Items that remind your loved one of their favorite fandom might just be the ideal purchase for the holiday season. There are plenty of items that could remind them of their favorite fandom, whether that be t-shirts, sweatshirts, candles, stickers, prints, collectibles and many others!

If they are a Disney fan, some ideas would be a new pair of Minnie Mouse ears to their collection, apparel from the Disney Store or small shops, Disney scent-inspired candles or a collectible they’ve been wanting to snag like a new pin pack. If you have a Swiftie you’d like to purchase a gift for, consider something from the official merchandise store, or a small shop like ekelleydesign who sells stickers and prints inspired by Taylor Swift songs.

For the style icon

For the fashion icon in your life, consider putting together an outfit that you’d think they may pick for themselves. You can take this one step further and make it a competitive experience by setting a budget and styling outfits for the other, whether you go to Target, your local mall or thrifting. If not, something as simple as a gift card to their favorite store could put a smile on your loved one’s face.

For THE HObbyist

If you’re stuck on what to gift your loved one this holiday season, consider getting them something to compliment their favorite hobby or hobby they’ve been wanting to get into. If they’re creative and enjoy painting or photography, a great gift may be some art supplies or education they’ve been wanting to invest in. Meanwhile, if they’re spiritual or into astrology, look into adding to their collection or books on their interests.

BONUS: Stocking Stuffer Ideas

If you’re also in need of stocking stuffer ideas for family and friends, consider creating some mini stockings! You can then add some products such as bath bombs, fuzzy socks, hot chocolate kits, scrunchies or candles and you have a whole thoughtful present!

Hope this helped spark some ideas and inspire your holiday shopping. Happy Holidays!
