13 Disney Throwbacks to Watch This Halloween Season

Halloween is the season of frights, fear, and fun, yet not everyone is down to be scared out of their mind while watching TV. If horror movies and jumpscares don’t appeal to you this halloween season, curl up on your couch with some reruns of your favorite childhood holiday specials. Queue up your Netflix, grab some blankets, and pop lots of popcorn. Here’s to a night full of nostalgic spooky marathons.

Even Stevens: A Very Scary Story (2001)

Halloween hits and the school starts to full up with student zombies. It’s up to Louis to save them.

Lizzie McGuire: Night of the Day of the Dead (2001)

After Kate takes charge of the school’s Halloween party, spooky things start to happen. The ghosts of Miranda’s ancesters come back to haunt them after disrespecting her ancient skeleton decorations.

Recess: The Terrifying Tales of Recess (2001)

The episode is made up of three seperate tales that occured at 3rd Street School.

The Proud Family: A Hero for Halloween (2002)

Penny Proud is lacking Halloween spirit after being forced to hand out candy to the trick or treaters. After taking a bite of one of her father’s Proud Snacks, she developes superpowers and is resposible for saving her family from an evil spirit. 

Kim Possible: October 31st (2002)

Kim ditches both her family, and Ron, in order to go to a Halloween party with Josh, yet when things start to go wrong, she needs to save herself.

Mickey’s House of Villains (2002)

Hallowwen version of our favorite character mash-up, House of Mouse. This 70 minute program features cameos from the most popular Disney villains, such as Jafar, Captain Hook, Cruella de Vil, Ursula, and Hades. They team up to take over the hero’s house and wreck havoc. It is a film that often goes unnoticed, but is essential for every movie marathon.

Lilo & Stitch: Spooky: Experiment 300 (2003)

Experiement 300 is activated and begins to attack and scare others by shapeshifting. After causing chaos around town, Experiment 300 was tricked into shapeshifting into positive figures to help Lilo and Stitch clean up the mess he caused.

Phil of the Future: Halloween (2004)

Debbie turns into a cybourg and appoints Pim her slave. After Phil and Keely discover what has happened, they use the sweetness of cupcakes to overheat her system in an attempt to save the day.

The Suite Life of Zack and Cody: The Ghost of Suite 613 (2005)

After hearing about the legend of a ghost in the Tipton, Zack and Cody and the gang team up to spend the night in suite 613. After innocent pranks go wrong, no one is considered safe from the curse.

That’s So Raven: Cake Fear (2005)

Raven and Cory are subject to revenge from their old babysitter, “Pushover Patterson”.

Hannah Montana: Torn Between Two Hannahs (2006)

Miley’s twin cousin Luanne visits and pretends to be Miley in order to expose her secret life as Hannah. 

Jonas: The Tale of the Haunted Firehouse (2009)

Kevin, Joe, and Stella search the firehouse for a ghost and Nick goes missing. 

Wizards of Waverly Place: Halloween (2009)

The Russo’s turn the sub shop into a haunted house but are written up for not being scary enough.
