The Spooky Playlist You Need This Halloween

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

Halloween is just around the corner and, as college students, it’s looked down upon to go around trick or treating (sadly). Thus, we must turn to throwing a party or, if you’re not a real party person, the perfect movie/get-together night. Whichever option you go with the perfect playlist is vital for any get together! Lucky for you, I compiled the perfect Halloween playlist.

I of course included the classics:

“The Monster Mash” by Bobby Pickett

“Thriller” by Michael Jackson

“This is Halloween” by Marilyn Manson, from The Nightmare Before Christmas

“Ghostbusters” by Ray Parker Jr, the Ghostbusters theme song

“I Want Candy” by Aaron Carter

But there are way more songs with that Halloween vibe!

“Men In Black” by Will Smith, the Men In Black theme song

“Hungry Like the Wolf” by Duran Duran

“Superstition” by Stevie Wonder

“Toxic” by Britney Spears

“She Wolf” by Shakira

“Hotel California” by The Eagles

“Cannibal” by Kesha

I also included some oldies that all have that ominous feeling you can still sing along to:

“Le Freak (Freak Out)” by Chic

“Zombie” by The Cranberries

“Sweet Dreams (Are Made of These)” by Eurythmics

“Abracadabra” by Steve Miller Band

But my favorite songs on the playlist are the good ol classic Disney Channel covers and originals:

“Do You Believe In Magic” cover by Aly and AJ

“Some Call it Magic” by Raven-Symoné

“Supernatural” by Raven-Symoné

Here’s the playlist on Spotify for y’all! Have a fun and spooky Halloween, collegiettes!
