What did you do for Spring break?
I went to Santa Cruz and then went snowboarding the following day (which, by the way, was a bad idea.  I would recommend you at least rest between trips).  I also went paintballing that Sunday. It was the s****.

Any plans for this weekend?
I might go party Thursday, but for sure I’m partying this Friday night (party with me?).  Then Saturday morning I have a wedding to attend and later that evening I’m going to my niece’s birthday.

How do you stay involved here at UC Davis?
Hmm…by sacrificing a few hours of sleep (LOL jkjk).  I try to  be as involved as I can by joining organizations on campus like the Hmong Student Union (HSU) and attending events like the Buzz and Picnic Day.

What are your plans after college?
Work, preferably a job within my major.

What is something most people don’t know about you?
People think that I’m talkative, but really I’m not.  I hate small talks, but what I hate most is the awkward silence between two people or when you’re in a group.  But if I even find myself in that situation, I tend to break that silence by bringing up something to talk about, even if its small talk.

Who do you look up to and why?
I can’t choose one person, but I mainly look up to both my dad and my cousin.  My dad because he came to a foreign country and became a successful man who people come to seek advice from.  My cousin because I’d say he’s reached the pinnacle of American education as an engineer and of our culture as a clan leader and a shaman.

A QUICKIE (survey) with Campus Cutie
Childhood nickname: I have many childhood names, but My mom always called me Maryo because I used to play Mario World a lot and she couldn’t pronounce Mario, hence Maryo.

Pet peeves: I dislike it when people use bad grammar, granted, I’m not the best at English, but
things like “your” and “you’re”, “there”, “their”, and “they’re”, and past and present tense isn’t too difficult, yet people still find ways to misuse them. It also bothers me when I have chipped nails or dead skin cells on my hands, because I feel that my hands have to be presentable when shaking someone else’s hand.

I love it when….: I can make someone genuinely smile or happy. Not some dumb joke or remark about something that makes someone chuckle but genuine joy and smile.

Celebrity Crush: #1 Miranda Kerr, #2 Kate Upton, and #3 Natalie Portman

Favorite movie: I have a lot of favorite movies, but my favorite genre is post apocalyptic, specifically ZOMBIES.

Favorite feature in a girl: Any of the little things that bring out a girl’s long term beauty, whether it is the way her nose scrunches when she laughs or her pretty hands.  Did I tell you I have this thing about hands?

Dream vacation: I want to go to Bora-Bora

Favorite fast food joint: Jack-in-the-Box

And most importantly, Boxers or Briefs? My mama never bought me boxers and neither will I.
