Feminine Fashion

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

Hegemonic standards of beauty have evolved over the years to include a more androgynous look that allows girls to wear trousers and over-sized button downs and guys to sport deep v’s and bright colors. In this gender bending revolution, femininity was temporarily forgotten. But it’s time to realize that being a smart, successful, and fearless woman does not mean having to dress like the men that have traditionally dominated the industries we are about to enter as college grads. Fall back in love with your femininity by splurging on this Spring’s must-have lace, pink, and floral prints!
Jessica is currently studying Graphic Design and Psychology at UC Davis. She hopes to one day move to New York and work for a fashion or fitness magazine. When she is not dreaming about her life in New York, she is either running, watching shows on hulu, socializing or baking cupcakes. She loves anything that will make her laugh, sunny days  and everything purple!
