5 Things You Have to Try at the Davis Farmers’ Markets

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UCD chapter.

Although there are definitely more than five things you could try while at a Davis Farmers’ Market, here’s a list of five things you should start with before the quarter ends (especially before some of your favorite produce is no longer in season).

1. Bare Juices SmoothiesThere’s never a day when I’m not up for a smoothie. If you’re the same way, I’d definitely recommend trying one of the Bare Juices Smoothies. The King Kale smoothie is recommended, to say the least.

2. Fat Face PopsiclesFat Face popsicles are so good, I’ve had to stop myself from going back for seconds. Fat Face popsicles are refreshing and there’s a variety of interesting flavors like hibiscus mint and mango sticky rice. You can’t find at your local grocery store!

3. Apple – A – Day Apple JuiceThere’s something magical about this apple juice—it’s the best tasting juice I’ve ever had and plenty of other Aggies will say the same. It’s definitely a crowd favorite (I’ve seen people walk out of the Farmers’ market with gallons of this stuff).

4. Fat Face Breakfast SandwichesOnly available on Sundays, the Fat Face breakfast sandwiches at the Farmers’ Market are absolutely delicious. I’ve you’re into a more savory breakfast like I am, I’d definitely try these out.

5. Pachamama CoffeeIf you’re a coffee lover who’s constantly on the hunt for their caffeine fix, I’d recommend trying coffee from the Pachamama Coffee Cooperative stand. They brew the coffee right in front of you, resulting in one fresh and strong cup of joe.

I hope all of you get a chance to check out the Farmers’ Market this quarter. Before you know it, you’ll have your own list of your Davis Farmers’ Market must have items.
