For avid television viewers, new episodes of favorite shows can become highly anticipated during the wait between seasons. Even though there are a multitude of upcoming new releases on streaming services to watch, here are some returning shows that are worth viewing.

One of Us is Lying

Based on the New York Times bestselling book by Karen M. McManus, the show follows four high school students accused of murdering their classmate in detention. The second season strays away from the source material and it will be interesting to see where the writers take the characters.

Love is Blind

Netflix reality shows are painful to watch and yet still manage to be entertaining. With a whole new set of contestants and the same set up where the couples meet in separate pods not knowing the other’s appearance, chaotic antics are bound to ensue once again.

The Sex Lives of College Girls

Following four college freshmen, this show is the perfect addition to any college student’s watchlist. The chemistry between the cast is fantastic and the humor never disappoints, making it a great comfort watch leading up to the holidays.

The Great British Baking Show

This may be another reality show on this list, but it sticks out for being focused on baking rather than romantic relationships. If you want to watch a group of people make a variety of different baked goods and gain inspiration to bake something of your own, this is the show for you.

Abbott Elementary

Standing out on this list for airing weekly on cable television, this network comedy is a mockumentary style take on an elementary school and its staff. Due to its great writing and charming characters it is an excellent choice to watch, especially as there will be holiday themed episodes coming soon.

There are so many genres to choose from when watching television. This list reflects just a few of the shows that are my personal picks on my fall watchlist to continue watching. From reality television to teen drama shows, there is plenty of content returning within the next few months.

Hi, I'm Alyssa! I'm a fourth-year Media and Cultural Studies major with an English minor. I love anything pop culture and baking related. When I'm not writing, I can be found reading or rewatching episodes of my favorite 2010's sitcoms.
