5 Reasons Why Using an iPad for School is Life Changing

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Riverside chapter.

In the modern age, it is practically impossible to successfully complete assignments without having access to the internet and devices you can take everywhere with you. If you have been debating on whether or not to buy an iPad for a while, here are some reasons why you should.

1. It is super easy to carry around

If you are a college student who is constantly moving between classes on a large campus, it can be annoying to carry a heavy backpack all day. iPads, particularly the iPad Air, are relatively lightweight and simple to carry around in a bag or backpack.

2. School readings are even more accessible

Downloading ebooks and documents to read on an iPad can be a surprisingly useful way to get course readings complete. The ability to see the screen without a keyboard in the way makes reading for school a better experience.

3. Organization and note-taking

Note taking apps such as GoodNotes and CollaNote can replace notebooks to write in. These apps have everything from a wide variety of virtual stationary to folders to categorize work in order for all documents to be found in one place.

4. It can be used like a laptop (or not)

With the help from additional accessories like a keyboard, an iPad can transform from a tablet to a laptop in seconds. It functions a bit differently than a typical laptop, but working on writing assignments is just as accomplishable.

5. App Store Games

Okay, this one may be a bit of an added bonus but it is very true! Fun apps are available in the App Store to download just like on other Apple devices.

Getting an iPad is a great way to improve your academic life and studying habits. While having a laptop may still be necessary based on your educational preferences, investing in an iPad is still a worthwhile purchase with so many functions you will constantly be finding something new to use it for.
