As little girls, we dreamed of getting swept off our feet by Mr. Right. Well ladies, chivalry is dead, and Mr. Right is waiting for you to “swipe right.” Tinder, an easy-to-use app, has singlehandedly changed the dating game for good. Each day, 1.6 billion swipes and 26 million new matches are made on Tinder around the world. So basically, if you’re not on Tinder, then you’re just not getting it.

I confess that I’m a bit of a Tinder addict; my longest outcome was a guy I dated for about a year, and my shortest was probably just last weekend with the hottest guy I had ever met up with…except that he was a total bonehead and I couldn’t stand more then 30 minutes with him. So, I made an excuse to leave and I was out of there! I honestly cannot say how many Tinder dates I have been on; it’s basically a sport to me now. I have met and talked to so many interesting guys, but still no Mr. Right.

Tinder has been nicknamed the “hookup app,” and a lot of guys (not all) that swipe right just want to get laid. I wouldn’t expect to find your boyfriend right off the bat on Tinder. If you’re looking for something a little more serious, try Bumble. I have heard great things from women about this app that is very much like Tinder—swipe right, and if it’s mutual, a match is made. But, the unique part is that the woman has to message the man first or he will disappear forever. The difference with Bumble is that most men actually want to take you out on a date. I’ve only been on it for a week now but I can say the quality of men on Bumble versus Tinder is incomparable. I’m talking to guys I wouldn’t have known were out there who could be attracted to me without these apps—that’s the beauty of it!

I love dating apps and probably won’t stop using them until I actually decide to settle down. But for now, I’m having way too much fun being single thanks to these pretty addictive apps. Happy swiping, ladies!
