With February 14 peeking its head just around the corner, some couples may be a little lost on what to do on that special day. Maybe there’s too many possibilities and you can’t limit yourself down to just one day, or maybe there’s nothing that you can seem to come up with.

Well, if you’re a believer in astrology, then one way to simplify your Valentine’s Day planning is to figure out what goes best with your zodiac sign! Whether you prefer to pick a date based on your zodiac sign or your partner’s, there’s plenty of options to spend and enjoy this romantic holiday with them.

Aries (March 21- April 19)

As typical fire signs, Aries people crave excitement and energy. As natural extroverts, they are most likely to enjoy a fun night out with dancing, karaoke, or even hitting the arcade! If you or your partner is an Aries, then your Valentine’s Day is bound not to be a boring one.

Taurus (April 20-May 20):

This earth sign is one that truly values the traditional ideas of romance. As an earth sign, Taurus people can also be lovers of nature. A picnic is one classic romantic Valentine’s date to do as a couple that also incorporates the outdoors, either in the day or at night under the stars. To please a Taurus, you should also consider attending an outdoor market.

Gemini (May 21-June 21):

Geminis are the extroverted and outgoing types, so naturally a great date for them would involve either going out or doing something entertaining. A great Valentine’s Day if you or your partner are Geminis would be a romantic day at the beach or attending an outdoor event such as a concert or show!

Cancer (June 22- 22):

Cancers are characterized as being sensitive and sweet; this means that they really expect romance on the most romantic holiday of the year. A peaceful walk along the beach, or sitting close in the movie theatre, or anything involving physical affection (cuddling, holding hands, etc.) is the perfect Valentine’s Day activity for them!

Leo (July 23-August 22):

Similar to an Aries, Leos are also fire signs who love exploration and adventure. Perhaps a nice scenic hike would sweeten your Valentine’s day, or if your coupling has a competitive Leo, then you would have a great time going to laser tag or holding an at-home game night!

Virgo (August 23-September 22):

Introverted and analytical, Virgo signs may enjoy something quiet, intimate, and requiring a little bit of thought. They would enjoy a date at the local bookshop where you could each choose your favorite reads, for example, or you could go the extra mile and propose a date at a history or art museum. Simple yet thoughtful, these are all appealing options if you are or are dating a Virgo.

Libra (September 23-October 23):

Libras are true, classic romantics. When brainstorming for a perfect Valentine’s date idea to satisfy the Libra in your life, think of something more traditionally romantic. Consider flowers, a romantic dinner, or perhaps even staying at home and baking a sweet dessert with them.

Scorpio (October 24- November 21):

Intense and passionate, Scorpios would most likely enjoy a date with a little bit of mystery and intimacy. Perhaps a late-night drive out would be on their mind, or even going out late at night for some stargazing.

Sagittarius (November 22- December 21):

Similar to other fire signs, an ideal date night would involve something exciting and adventurous for a Sagittarius. Outdoor and active events would be a great way for a Sagittarius to gain some adrenaline, such as a weekend spent camping or hiking. You couldeven just go out to try a new restaurant or a cute, new grub spot.

Capricorn (December 22- January 19):

The logical and practical Capricorns enjoy structure, so an ideal Valentine’s date would be something that requires a little bit of thinking or a challenge. For example, an escape room would be something for Capricorns to put their minds to good use. If you’d like something a little simpler, you can plan a puzzle date for you and your partner.

Aquarius (January 20- February 18):

The ideal activity for an Aquarius involves something a little unconventional and out of the box (typical air signs!). If you or your date is an Aquarius, then some date ideas that might be of interest for your Valentine’s could be a trip to a science museum or maybe checking out that new science-fiction film that just came out.

Pisces (February 19- March 20):

Pisces are the stereotypical creative with their artistic souls. Date ideas should be fairly straightforward for this Valentine’s for a Pisces. A painting class (possibly with some wine and cheese) would be a fun activity to do with your partner, or perhaps going to one of those ceramics painting studios.

Whether you choose to adopt the ideas suggested for your or your partner’s astrology sign, or you prefer taking inspiration from suggestions for another sign, there is sure to be a potential date that is ideal for you and your partner to enjoy this Valentine’s Day!
