Was UCI your first choice?: UCI was NOT my first choice, UCSD was, but after I visited the campus my senior year of high school for Wayzgoose, I fell in love with the campus. I also liked the fact that the school was small, everyone was so nice, and there were so many cool things on campus.
Since this is your last year, what would you tell your first year self?: I would tell my first-year self to work on procrastinating WAY LESS. Also, I would myself to get involved in clubs and organizations because unfortunately I never really gave time to find out about the different clubs on campus and it has been kind of boring and I would have liked to make more friends and have more involvement.
What was the best part about living in San Diego?: The best part of being from San Diego was mainly that I got to be with my family all the time, the fact that we had several beaches and malls where I used to hang out with my friends, and that we had places like SeaWorld, San Diego Zoo, and Aquatica Water Park to go enjoy.
Besides family, what did you miss about SD?: Besides my family, I miss my dog (although I do consider him part of my family), my friends, and the fact that there were Mexican restaurants everywhere. Being Mexican and living in Irvine is kind of hard because there are barely any authentic Mexican restaurants around. I just miss the food and culture a lot sometimes.
What do you see yourself doing after graduation?: After graduation, I see myself either going to graduate school and continuing my education with my psychology major or taking a year off and hopefully finding a good internship I can work in. I also would like travel for some time before I get my masters degree.
What do your hobbies include?: My hobbies include listening to music, watching youTube videos, spending all day on Twitter (since it’s my addiction. haha), going to concerts with friends, meeting celebrities at events, and hanging out with my friends and going shopping or just having a girl’s night out
What’s your favorite type of music?: My favorite type of music is pop and r&b but I also like listening to pop en espanol, reggaeton, and bachata music.
What would your ideal date include?: My ideal date would probably be going to a concert and then a nice dinner with someone that can make me laugh and have a good time .
What has been your favorite class, so far, at UCI?: My favorite class so far at UCI has got to either be Human Sexuality or any of my Chicano Latino Studies classes I have taken.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go?: If I could go anywhere in the world it would be the UK, specifically London. I just love their accents, the architecture, their fashion, and the fact that most of my favorite band members and singers are from there.
What’s one interesting fact about you? One interesting fact about me is that I’m left-handed.
