3 Fall 2013 Makeup Trends

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UC Berkeley chapter.

As the sun begins to set earlier and the days get colder, our environment changes and so do we, through makeup and fashion. Here are 5 Fall 2013 makeup trends that have been showcased in various runway shows that you can try out on your own.

1. Bold Brows

People often say that brows frame the face. Well-groomed brows can bring more life and dimension into a fresh, natural face and can complete a full face of makeup. Utilizing a shadow to fill in your brows will create a very natural look, whereas if you are looking for a more defined look, a brow pencil may be best. After filling everything in, set it all with a brow gel. This trend has been going on for many seasons and has been seen in shows by Chloe, Versace and more.

2. Wine-Stained Lips

Berry, wine-colored lips have always been in for the fall and winter. This fall is no different. This fall, matte, powdered lips are most in so after applying your lipstick, blot away any excess shine and place a tissue over your lips and powder them to keep your lipstick on for a long time. This trend is seen in Vera Wang, Christian Dior, Prada and more.

3. Long, luscious Lashes

Long, voluminous lashes are especially in during the autumn as they really help open up your eyes and make them pop. They help create a very glamorous look. This trend can be noticed in shows by brands like Dolce & Gabbana.
