Life is a tiring phenomenon. Each of us once felt as if there was not a lot of sense in what you were doing, as if a tremendous truck filled with problems ran over you leaving you on the bridge with death and life in a cave so dark that your loudest screams for help drown in its silence. There is always that guilty desire to stay in that cave and give up, but instead, we gather all of our strength and open the curtains to greet a new day. However, have you ever wondered what could have happened if instead of standing up, you chose the other way? One of those ways would lead you to Joker.

Joker is a person who lives between reality and illusion in the society that prefers to yell about its victories and hide its flaws. He is a production of that rotten system, a sick man that just wants to find his place there. The solid ground which he seeks slips away each time and he just does not seem to get a grip of it due to his nature or sickness. Eventually, he finds his way that is to go against the norms in the attempts to destroy the system that so successfully destroyed the human part of him.

Me: Let’s start with an easy question. What is your favorite song?

Joker: Lately, I have been really into “Smile” by Jimmy Durante.

Me: What do you like about yourself?

Joker: My smile… It is a hard thing to smile all the time, but that’s what makes it so special.

Me: What would you like people to remember about you?

Joker: I have always believed that my sense of humor is the best part of me because I was told that my purpose in this world is to bring laughter and joy. People are peculiar creatures though because it seems what makes them happy is not my jokes, but is laughing at me.

Me: There are always some morally depraved people in the world, however, I believe that where bad is, there is good too. Nevertheless, continuing this topic, what do you think of the world of the 21st century? The place that we are at right now?

Joker: I am satisfied! The world finally comes to its place where people are getting what they deserve and getting noticed.

Me: Lastly, I would like to ask you a question that has bothered millions of people. You, a person who seems to have seen it all, what do you fear?

Joker:  I fear that my death will not make more cents than my life.

P.S. This piece is the creation of my mind that I made heavily influenced by Todd Phillips’ movie, “Joker.” I suggest to all of you who have not seen it yet to go and watch it because this movie is created to worry your mind and grow questions. Maybe you will not like it, but sometimes you do not watch something to put it on your playlist, you watch it to experience and discover something new for yourself.
