5 Emotions When Going Through Finals

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at UBC chapter.

Preparing for finals is the hardest part of the term, period. It feels like a rollercoaster of emotions and all we’re hoping for is that the rollercoaster ends as soon as possible. Here are 5 emotions when going through finals:

1. Worry: “Why am I even doing this?” is a question most of us asks ourselves. We go through a lot of worries and even check 1+1 in the calculator just to make sure it’s 2!

2. Optimism: Sometimes we go through moments of optimism. As soon as you are done with finals, you will be going home for Christmas. This is your time to show your professor everything you have learned in 4 months time.

3. Boredom: Doing all your readings and re-doing assignments can be overwhelming. After you are done with your first exams, you have to immediately go study for the next final. It becomes a routine….

4. Confusion: Many of us can feel confused just by looking at the first question of the exam asking for your last name.

5. Freedom: After a month of craziness, we are finally free. We can trash all of our papers, go back home, and enjoy some delicious food for Christmas. It was all worth it!

Good luck to everyone preparing for finals!
