Last summer, I got an email that detailed Kacey Musgraves would be on her own world tour and tickets were going on sale. There was also a chance to get a Golden Ticket and have a meet-and-greet with her! I crossed my fingers and hoped I had enough time to buy one, and I did! I would be meeting Kacey Musgraves in February!

This was the perfect time to buy tickets. Kacey, although an icon in my mind, was not known to most of the rest of the world. That was, until she took home four Grammys on February 10th, including Album of the Year and Country Album of the Year. She also blessed us with this great reaction face below.

The time was ticking down to this weekend, the 22nd of February. I had one of my old Laramie roomates with me (sadly, she did not get a meet-and-greet). I traveled down to Laramie, picked her up, and we made our way to Denver!

As soon as we were let into the Paramount Theater, my stomach was in knots. I bought my merchandise, and made my way upstairs for the VIP group. There were only 30 VIPs allowed to meet her, so my excitement was excruciating when I found out we got to take a selfie with her and talk to her for a minute.

At 8 p.m. we were shuffled into a hallway, down into a room where Kacey was standing and waiting for us. She was absolutely stunning! I tried to think of what I wanted to say to her, but as soon as she said hello, I lost all train of thought. She gave me a hug and I thought I was going to break her from shaking so much. Also, she is very tiny! We took a few pictures and she points at her image and says, “Oh my God what the hell is that on my face? We need to take more.” I almost didn’t want to touch her because I was so shocked I was meeting her. I was SO awkward. After the pictures, she told me to enjoy the show and all I could muster was, “You’re so amazing.” I was absolutely shaking! She was so sweet and down to earth. VIPs also got a pink fan for being so FANtastic.

The concert was amazing as well! I was in the very front row! I didn’t have to zoom in my camera to see her clearly. She sang all of her new songs, some old ones, and then “Tearin’ Up My Heart,” by NSYNC with her opener, Soccer Mommy. She played for about two hours and ended with a bang! My heart was so complete.

She is coming back to Colorado in June to perform at Red Rocks and that is a show you can NOT miss. Kacey is absolutely amazing and you’re missing out if you don’t go see her!
