The Best Self Care Playlist

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Vic chapter.

Ahh February, the month of love, seasonal depression, and midterms. For those of us who might be struggling to get our groove back during these particularly gloomy days, look no further than my recommendations for the best and grooviest songs to raise your vibrations and encourage self-love.

#1. “Successful” Ariana Grande

Because you are successful and you know it.

#2. “Blind” Role Model

This song is about Emma Chamberlain, aka the only reason my mental health is intact right now. Check out her podcast “Anything Goes!”

#3. “Daydream” The Aces

This is one of my favorite girl groups at the moment!

#4. “Tears Dry on Their Own” Amy Winehouse

A classic breakup song by the queen, Amy Winehouse. You will bounce back!

#5. “Skate” Bruno Mars, Anderson Paak, Silk Sonic

This song is giving motown and I love it.

#6. “Fire for You” Cannons

For when you wanna feel a little sexy…

#7. “Babydoll” Dominic Fike

This song has the *best* chill vibes.

#8. “Survivor” Destiny’s Child

Because you are better off without someone who makes you feel like garbage. Also points for another girl group and Beyonce.

#9. “Better” SG Lewis, Clairo

Another groovy pick.

#10. “So Hot You’re Hurting My Feelings” Caroline Polachek

Self explanatory.

#11. “Disco Man” Remi Wolf

Remi Wolf is the queen of vibey music.

#12. “Glitter” BENEE

A chill song from BENEE.

#13. “Secrets” Mary Lambert

An unapologetic self-love anthem.

#14. “Confidence” Ocean Alley

This one makes me want to dance!

#15. “Hell N Back” Bakar

Same with this one.

#16. “Blue World” Mac Miller

One of my favorites by Mac Miller

#17. “Electric Feel” MGMT

This one will make you forget about all your problems and just vibe.

#18. “Beggin” Madcon

A truly iconic throwback jam!

BTW all of these songs have been compiled into a playlist on the official Her Campus at UVIC Spotify account. Check it out below!
