Terrence Donnelly Centre for Cellular and Biomolecular Research

This article is written by a student writer from the Her Campus at U Toronto chapter.

Here is one of the more unique spots at U of T. Our campus is infamous for it’s Potter-esque architecture, but when you enter the Donnelly Centre, it seems like an entirely different realm. The building is furnished with modern fixings, wide, open spaces, high ceilings, and even a tropical bamboo garden with a seating area for people who want a change of scene. I’ve heard the research labs within the building have incredible views of the city all around, though I have yet to discover that for myself. Let’s hope I’m able to in the near future!

My name is Mallika Makkar and I'm stoked to be part of the Class of 2018 at the University of Toronto, as well as photographer for HerCampus! Photography is one of my greatest passions. The majority of my work encompasses architectural, landscape, wildlife, portrait, and event photography; I believe that every photo should tell a story. My other interests include travelling, acting, reading, writing, dancing, and learning. I love all kinds of music (I probably know too much for my own good), and have too many favourite movies and TV shows to count.
