HCuO: What are three words that you’d use to describe your style?
Nesia Saparno: Classy, versatile and comfortable.
HCuO: Where do you get your style inspiration?
NS: The internet is a magical place! I usually get inspiration from certain YouTubers or artists. It’s not like I want to dress like them, but sometimes there are certain accents or pieces that I like and go “Hey, I’d like something like that,” or “I like the way they styled their outfit.” Other times I get inspiration just looking at what’s on the mannequins when I go shopping. When I actually dress myself everyday, I just grab whatever and end up looking pretty decent.
HCuO: Where are the pieces you’re wearing from?
NS: The jacket is from Simons (it’s my most prized possession). My jeans are Forever 21, boots from Zellers, and my hat was something my mom bought like 5 million years ago (the earth was in its prime then), but she never wore it.
HCuO: What is one item in your closet that you can’t live without?
NS: Any of my statement jackets; I throw them on and it elevates the look.
HCuO: Where is your favourite place or hidden gem that you like to buy clothes?
NS: Forever21 is the store that I shop at the most; however, with Simons being at Rideau now, maybe I’ll go there. I haven’t been too often though.
HCuO: What is some fashion wisdom that you would like to pass on to others?
NS: Don’t be afraid to try something outside of your comfort zone!
