The seasons are changing, and winter is coming. If you’re a frequent migraine sufferer, you know what that means: Headaches. Every. Single. Day.

If you’ve been looking for a way to (at least briefly) make the pain finally go away, look no further! Here are our 3 P’s of headache relief (we recommend using them in the order they’re listed for the best results):

1. Pain Meds

This first P might go without saying, but we’re no strangers to not taking pain meds simply because we can’t get out of bed (who ever wants to leave their bed??). This is your reminder to get up and take them! We promise you that you’ll feel better if you do.

Our fave pain med is extra strength Tylenol – the acetaminophen + caffeine combo works wonders on stubborn headaches! If you’re like us and HATE taking pills, try the coated eZ tabs; they go down way easier than regular pills.

2. Peppermint

In case you have yet to be introduced to the wonderful world of essential oils, we’re here to enlighten you! Peppermint is *chef’s kiss* when it comes to relieving headache pain. Our go-to is Saje’s Peppermint Halo, which comes in both wand and roll-on forms! Simply roll (or dab) on the oil where it hurts the most, and let the chilling sensation numb your pain – headache who?

3. Pressure

Once you’ve got your peppermint on, throw on a hat that hugs your temples (and anywhere else that’s hurting, if possible). Don’t have a hat that will work? Don’t worry! Try something similar to Sportcheck’s headache relief mask to get rid of that horrible throbbing pain.

Et voilà, your headache pain should subside within about 30 mins! Of course, redo these steps as necessary (making sure to pay attention to your pain medication’s use instructions!), stay hydrated, and try your best to sleep off your headache while these remedies are working their magic. You got this!
