It’s a known fact that Ottawa has a wide variety of restaurants and food options, both fine dining restaurants and roadside food trucks. If you live in Ottawa, I’m sure you’ve tried quite a few and probably have your favourite go-to places.

However, if you’re feeling adventurous or are getting sick of the same-old routine, this article is for you. I’ve found 5 crazy foods or beverages you can try in Ottawa that will be sure to satisfy your food cravings. Not to mention they’re super Instagram-worthy.

1. Gravy Pizza @ House of Georgie’s & Sorento’s Pizzeria

Yes, you read that right. And although it sounds pretty weird, it has attracted quite a crowd. So, if you haven’t already tried this delicious treat, be sure to make that your next night out. Don’t knock it until you’ve tried it!

2. The Club Sandwich Poutine @ The Great Canadian Poutinerie

This poutine-club combo really has it all. The poutine is topped with all of the classic club ingredients – bacon, chicken, lettuce, mayo, and even the toast!

3. The Big Joe Panwich @ Flapjack’s Canadian Diner

This one is for all of you breakfast lovers. Never again will you have to decide between pancakes or eggs and bacon. The Big Joe Panwich combines eggs, bacon, and cheddar cheese double- stacked between two buttermilk pancakes. Heavenly, am I right?

5. Macaron Milkshakes @ Quelque Chose Pâtisserie

These milkshakes are sure to satisfy anyone’s sweet tooth and come in a variety of flavours and combinations. Some flavours include s’mores, strawberries and cream, brownie, and matcha. All milkshakes are topped with whipped cream and macaron sprinkles, and some have a huge macaron on top. So ‘Gram-able, too.
